Graziadio School Signs On to the Principles for Responsible Management Education

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (June 17, 2008) - Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management has responded to the global call for business schools and academic associations to advance corporate social responsibility worldwide. Pepperdine MBA program Announces its First Antelope Valley Scholarships

PALMDALE, Calif., (June 17, 2008)--Annie Chen of Santa Clarita and Laurie Lile of Wrightwood will receive the first Pepperdine/AERO Leadership Scholarship Award from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management. The scholarship provides $5,000 toward tuition to two recipients who are accepted into Pepperdine University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in Antelope Valley, which launched its inaugural program of evening MBA classes in April at Palmdale's Aerospace Education Research and Operations Institute (AERO Institute). Pepperdine is currently accepting applications for a second cycle of classes to start in January 2009.  More


Graziadio School Appoints Three Key Associate Deans

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 9, 2008) -- Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., dean of Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management, announced new associate dean appointments, naming Mark Mallinger, Ph.D., as associate dean of full-time MBA programs; Demos Vardiabasis, Ph.D., as associate dean of executive programs; and Ron D. Ford, EDM, as associate dean of executive education. Pepperdine to offer undergrads 5-year BS/MBA degree option

LOS ANGELES, (February 19, 2008) -- Starting fall 2008, Pepperdine University will begin admitting a select group of business-track undergraduate students into a new program in which they earn both a bachelor's and MBA degree in only five years. High-performing freshmen and students in their junior year of studies enrolled at the University's Seaver College will be eligible, as well as candidates transferring from community colleges or other universities into Seaver College programs. Study: Investors say Sarbanes-Oxley Got it Right; Wish Mandatory Jail Time for Wrongdoers

LOS ANGELES, CA - July 30, 2007 - As U.S. regulators and industry recognize Sarbanes-Oxley’s fifth year this July 30, most investors (57 percent) in a new survey by Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management believe the requirements imposed by the law, holding CEOs and senior management personally accountable for the accuracy of their companies’ financial disclosures, are about right, while one-third (32 percent) say its restrictions did not go far enough. Study: Investors Likely to Move Investments if Board Engages in Legal But Unethical Behavior

LOS ANGELES, CA – June 26, 2007 – Seventy-six percent of investors in a new survey say they would move investments if they learned that a company with which they are invested is engaged in unethical but legal behavior, even though that behavior earned them a high return-on-investment.
